The agreement between you and ANDISSA (PTY) LTD for use of andissa.com and the Andissa learning app. Last updated: 19 October 2026.
These Terms govern andissa.com and the Andissa learning app, operated by ANDISSA (PTY) LTD, a South African private company, registration number 2026/828820/07. Contact: leo@andissa.com (registered office details available on request). Read these Terms and the Privacy Notice before registering. By creating an account, you accept these Terms; the Privacy Notice explains how personal information is processed and does not substitute for any separately required consent.
Andissa supports South African CAPS learning, currently launching content with Grade 10. Users aged 18 or over may accept these Terms for themselves. A user under 18 must have assistance and authorisation from an appropriate parent or legal guardian, including prior competent-person consent for personal-information processing where required. The competent person must be able to review the documents and exercise the child's rights. The app must not rely solely on a minor clicking “accept” to establish this authority.
Provide accurate information, use only your own account and keep your password private. Google sign-in is no longer offered. An existing Google-linked user can request a password reset using the same email; do not create a second account merely to regain access. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use. You are not automatically responsible for losses caused by our own security failures or matters that lawfully cannot be assigned to you.
Andissa provides short educational lessons, explanations, diagrams, quizzes, progress records and suggested learning activities. Subjects and content vary by grade and availability. The service is currently free, with no paid plan or subscription required. Your internet or mobile network may charge for data. If charges are ever proposed, they will require separate clear pricing, billing, cancellation and applicable refund disclosures and agreement before payment; these Terms do not authorise automatic charges.
Opening a lesson may be recorded even if you do not finish it. Completed lessons and quiz attempts may be recorded with scores, XP and timestamps. Authorised administrators can review these records as explained in the Privacy Notice. Scores indicate performance on Andissa questions, not official school marks. Repeat attempts may be retained and affect displayed summaries. Tell us about inaccurate records so they can be investigated.
You may use the service for lawful personal learning. Do not access another person's account, bypass access controls, introduce malicious software, disrupt the service, harvest student information, send abusive material or use unauthorised scraping tools. Do not reproduce, sell or distribute protected content beyond the permission granted or lawful copyright exceptions. Do not use answers to misrepresent your work or facilitate examination misconduct.
Andissa content, software, illustrations and branding are owned by Andissa or relevant rights holders, subject to applicable law. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to use content for personal learning while access is authorised. This does not transfer ownership or remove lawful rights such as applicable fair-dealing exceptions. Rights in material you submit remain yours; any permission to handle it is limited to responding to you and providing the requested service. Educational alignment does not imply official endorsement.
We aim to maintain a useful and reliable service, but outages, errors and maintenance may occur. We may correct content or change availability with reasonable notice where practical. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or any particular academic result. Report content or scoring errors to leo@andissa.com. Nothing in these Terms removes duties of reasonable care or mandatory legal protections.
We may restrict an account where reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate security concerns or address a material breach. Except where urgent action is necessary, we will explain the reason and allow a reasonable opportunity to respond or remedy it. You may request account closure at leo@andissa.com. Closure does not mean every record disappears immediately; lawful retention and deletion follow the Privacy Notice. Restrictions must not be used to obstruct lawful privacy requests.
Educational information and quizzes may contain mistakes and are not a substitute for official materials or teacher guidance. To the extent permitted by South African law, Andissa is not responsible for indirect loss caused solely by reliance on educational content or interruptions beyond its reasonable control. This is not a blanket exclusion of responsibility. Nothing excludes or limits liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, unlawful processing or other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. No zero-value liability cap applies merely because access is free. Mandatory rights under POPIA, the Consumer Protection Act (where applicable), ECTA and other law remain intact. Any risk or limitation requiring a separate, prominent notice or express assent must be presented accordingly, not hidden in these Terms.
Material changes will be brought to your attention with an effective date and reasonable notice where practical. Where a fresh agreement or consent is required, continued use alone is not enough. These Terms are governed by South African law. Contact leo@andissa.com for complaints; if unresolved, you retain access to competent courts, regulators and applicable complaint bodies. No mandatory private arbitration or foreign forum limits those rights. An invalid provision does not automatically invalidate the remaining lawful provisions.
